PROGRAM OF TOTAL TAKES UNIVERSITY STUDENTS TO FRANCE FOR COURSE ON ENERGY

With 80 available positions, ‘Total Summer School’ takes place between 10 - 13 July; all costs related to the Program will be paid by Total

 

Sao Paulo, April 1 2016 – To contribute to the development of new professionals for the energy sector, Total – the world´s fourth-largest international oil and gas company – has implemented the education programme 'Total Energy Summer School'. Based in France, country of origin of the multinational company, the course which takes place between 10 - 13 July, in Fontainebleau, will bring together 80 University students from around the world.


This is a unique opportunity to know the reality of the energy segment and discuss expectations for the coming years. This is because the event will bring together leading academics and industry experts from all over the world. Students from any discipline can apply for the programme. This requires access to the website (www.total-campus.com) and application until April 15. When filling out the forms, the applicant writes motivation statement for participating in the 'Total Energy Summer School' and a short quiz. After this step, a thorough selection process is made. The cost, including insurance, economy flight, accommodation and meals, will be paid by Total. 

 

According to the Director of Corporate Affairs of Total E&P do Brasil, Ulisses Martins, besides sharing and increasing awareness with industry experts, the program also aims at developing personal skills of the participants. "Amidst dynamic lectures and group activities, it is possible to build a network of contacts in the industry to interact with scholars and specialists sharing knowledge, ideas and creative solutions," says Martins.      

 

Created in 2006, the ‘Total Energy Summer School' has already gathered more than 700 students from many different backgrounds and countries. In addition to this program, the Total Group has other courses focused on education, among them the Total Ambassador, which allows students to find out more about the activities and opportunities in the company, and the 'Massive Open Online Course (MOOC)’, and free online learning course that covers the energy and oil sector.
