Total reinforces Brazilian motorsports partnerships

The 2015 Brazilian motorsports season will be special for Total in the country. The company will be the official sponsor of the Brazil Stock Car driver Cesar Ramos and the sponsor of the Renault team in the Brazilian Manufacturers Championship.

The sponsorship of driver Cesar Ramos further emphasizes Total's expansion plans in the Brazilian market, and there is nothing better than supporting a young Brazilian talent. "Cesar is a driver in whom we have full confidence. He is young, successfull and has been through several important categories in the motorsport world. We believe that he will represent Total's spirit well in Brazil. In addition Cesar has already competed with our colors in Europe and knows our company very well, which, in our view, is also very important. This first year will be a learning curve for both parties. Though, in all categories we participate in, we always aim for good results. Total has an extremely victorious track record in its partnerships and we don't want it to be different in Brazil" comments Fabiana Han, Marketing Manager of Total Lubrificantes do Brasil.

As sponsor of the Renault team, Total will be present in the Brazilian Manufacturers Championship with its ELF brand, a line of products with over 45 years of tradition and significant worldwide presence. Through technological innovation, intense research and state of the art technology in high speed, the ELF line is comprised of motor oils and lubricants developed for true champions. The brand has been part of the Total Group since 2000. "Our relationship with Renault is not restricted to the racing tracks. For more than 40 years, the ELF line of products has been recommended with exclusiveness by the French automaker in its passenger car manuals to their owners. We are certain that this new partnership will provide promising results to both sides", informs the General Director of Total Lubrificantes do Brasil, Luis David Rodriguez.

The Group is present in the largest and most important competitions of the motorsport world on two and four wheels, such as Moto GP and World Superbike Series, in addition to  Formula 1, WRC, WTCC, WEC, Dakar and GT Series. Total is always endeavoring to be close to the best drivers competing on the world’s most challenging circuits. With Formula 1, for example, Total has been a supplier and official partner to several leading teams for over 40 years, such as Williams, Lotus and Red Bull.
